Facials have long offered a relaxing and rejuvenating way to clear up congested skin and reveal the beautiful complexion underneath. At Regeneris Boston, we offer PRP facials to patients in and around the Boston area. Learn how our facials could enhance your appearance.
What is a PRP Facial?
A PRP facial (stem cell facial) is an innovative technique that uses your own blood to revive skin tone and decrease signs of aging. Platelet-rich plasma is a naturally occurring substance in the body that contains growth factors known to promote healing. When used in a facial, this substance works to increase collagen and elastin in the face.
How Much Do PRP Facials Cost?
At Regeneris Boston, we price all of our procedures on an individual basis. This allows us to fully understand your needs and charge just what is necessary to get the results you are seeking. We will calculate your custom cost at the time of your consultation.
However, we also understand that cosmetic procedures such as a PRP facial can be a substantial monetary investment. To help ease the financial burden, we are proud to accept a wide range of payment options, including financing through CareCredit® and Union Medical Credit.
Am I a Good Candidate for a PRP Facial?
If you are a healthy adult experiencing damaged or dull skin, a PRP facial could be right for you. That said, the best way to determine your candidacy for this procedure is to schedule a consultation.
How is a PRP Facial Performed?
A PRP facial is performed in our office on an out-patient basis. During your procedure, we will take a sample of your blood and send the blood through a centrifuge to separate the PRP. The skin is thoroughly numbed with a topical agent before the treatment begins. Once the PRP has been successfully separated, the processed PRP is injected into targeted areas, and then applied topically to the entire face. During the topical application, the PRP is worked into the skin using microneedling. A microneedling device consists of very small needles that cause micro-trauma to the upper layers of skin. Micro-trauma activates the body’s natural healing process.
What is Recovery Like After a PRP Facial?
Recovery time for a PRP facial is minimal, allowing patients to return to work or school the day after the procedure. Although you may experience some redness or irritation, side effects are generally unobtrusive. You should, however, avoid activities that could cause excessive sweating or a rise in body temperature for the first 72 hours after your procedure, as sweating could cause any swelling or bruising to be worse.
How Long Will My PRP Facial Results Last?
Although a PRP facial can provide long-lasting results, there is no permanent solution to aging. Patient seeking to maintain a youthful appearance can schedule maintenance treatments roughly once every year. A supportive skin care routine will also help lengthen your enjoyment of your enhanced look.
At Regeneris Boston, a PRP facial is an excellent choice for continuing to look like your best self, no matter your age. If you have questions about this or other treatments, we are here to help. Our office is convenient for residents of Boston, Cape Cod, Attleboro, and the surrounding Massachusetts communities. Contact us to get started on your PRP facial journey today.
